Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our scholarships. Here you will find important information that will help you successfully complete the application process
The schools involved in this scholarship distribution are Bainbridge, Colquitt County, Camilla, Pelham, Thomas County Central, Thomas County Academy, and Thomasville High School. The scholarships will be given at the school’s Honors Night Awards Ceremony or Community Assembly.
Applicant Qualifications
❖ Be a graduating female who plans to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college, university, technical college or specialized school.
❖ Have a minimum grade point average of 2.6 in a 4.0 System.
❖ Have a score of at least 16 on the ACT or 800 on the SAT.
How do I apply?
Submit the following:

❖ An Official Letter from the School’s Office or Counselor with the GPA or Transcript
❖ Copy of Letter of Acceptance
❖ Essay- Choose from the following topics. Write a 500 word essay, double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font.
1. Why are you deserving of this scholarship?
2. Mental health is an increasing concern in America. Define “good” mental health and discuss how mental health concerns can be addressed and improved in high schools and colleges.
❖ A letter of recommendation (Completed by a school official, church/community leader, or an employer. The person making the referral cannot be a relative.)
When is the application deadline?
Applications for scholarships will be available online at https://www.akalambdaxiomega.org/scholarship by the first sorority meeting in January.
The application deadline is April 15, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Applications missing any of the required materials will not be considered.
